THE FOUNDING ARCHITECTS
Discover who Yannick and Jérémie are, the founders of Bruneau Ghezzi Architects.
MEET YANNICK BRUNEAU
Born in Corsica, the son of a beekeeper, Yannick grew up surrounded by nature. A passionate architect with a Cartesian way of thinking, he has roots in The Netherlands. This double, Franco-Dutch culture plays an importance role in his architectural approach, giving him a unique point of view.
He sees architecture as a major, meaningful statement. A fully engaging intellectual exercise. His inspiration comes as much from science as it does from philosophy or art. He believes in architecture as a vocation of general interest that requires a profound involvement.
Having lived on the island of St Barthelemy for over 12 years, he has designed and built numerous projects that have allowed him to sharpen his technical skills, develop a sharp sense of detail, and gain expertise in hurricane-proof and earthquake-resistant construction.
He has shared the fruits of his research into resilient bioclimatic architecture with various local and national officials. He has also served on academic juries at his former schools.
His motto: More gray matter, less gray energy.

MEET JÉRÉMIE GHEZZI
The son of an architect, Jérémie was exposed to architecture at a very early age, and it played an important part in his cultural development and education. Creative, and devoted to his art, he relies on his intuition and spirit of synthesis in order to adapt to every situation. Not afraid of taking risks and pushing his own boundaries, he shoots for the moon. He applies these principles to his designs in order to create innovative projects adapted to the world of tomorrow.
He started his career working on diverse assignments: housing, hotels, academic and medical centers. As a designer, he excels at winning competitions and has won numerous projects for the firms he collaborates with in France.
In St Barthélemy, he developed his skills level through the creation of luxury homes and hotels. After hurricane Irma in 2017, he worked on a volunteer basis to help with diagnostics of the destruction to improve methods of building and reflect on more durable solutions. Invested in his field, he often works with architecture schools or government officials.
